Camino de Santiago shell necklace / pendant ~ classic 18ct gold
A truly striking piece of gold jewellery hand-crafted in Santiago de Compostela
A special symbol of El Camino de Santiago - the Way of St James.
Each year some 200,000 people travel the Camino: Some walk, others travel by bike. Many travellers do the Camino for personal, rather than any spiritual or religious reasons - taking time out from their busy, modern lives and perhaps finding inspiration on the journey, whilst reflecting on their life in a supporting environment. Many carry with them a Scallop Shell symbol like this. Everyone experiences the journey in a different way.
This pendant/necklace, handmade by goldsmiths in Galicia, northern Spain, is a special tribute to that.
Dimensions: This 18ct gold closed-style shell measures 17mm long x 14mm wide, or 22mm total length including the hanging ring.
* Also available on an 18ct gold fine diamond-cut curb chain measuring 18 inches (choose Chain option).
